If you have a company, product or service you'd like to promote or you would like to make business contacts globally or locally- then B2B sites are a wonderful place to start.

Some of you may wonder why I build so many groups related to B2B. Some may wonder why I use so many free sites. Where are my paid for sites? These are all good questions.

Many SEO, marketing managers or web developers may already know part of the reason quite clearly. Others may think I have something tricky up my sleeve and others who have followed my different groups for years know me enough to know there is nothing tricky about what I do. I'll explain in a moment.

Having said that, I'd like to share some more links( in the end of this message) to help you and explain how they can be of help.

===============How?==========================
The most obvious is promoting product.
Making connections for business. Now or in the near future.
Finding product to import .
===========================================

But there are certainly more reasons why more and more people do not look down on free sites like they used to.

Why?

They understand the importance of social networking in a new global business society. The need to adjust to a new business generation and using the tools freely available to push one's legit URL higher in the search engines. Hence all my work on putting up free sites.

Yet, there are greater reasons that I've learnt doing this.

As members join up and post their links, promote their products and share important information - I learn so much more about the new and better ways of marketing my products, simple by following what other successful business people do. Everyday is filled with new successful entrepreneurs blazing new uncharted trails. If your not watching and learning, your snoozing and if your snoozing, your loosing. You've heard that one before! Corny, but true.

Likewise, joining and keeping track of all your free sites and tying all your social networks and Twitter accounts together are all movements in the right direction. However, you should also join up with other entrepreneurs who are putting up freely made networks. Continuously plug them in to one another through links a wise use of keywords all directly at you paid for flag ship sites.

I personally started off building my own web sites sometime in 1997. I made a lot of mistakes and spent endless hours fixing them blindsided by my desire to get things done quickly in applications I hardly understood- like MacroMedia Dreamweaver( Now owned by Adobe) and an endless line of free applications. I also spent a lot of money paying SEO specialist that were as tricky as the applications themselves that I was so desperately trying hard to learn. Many of these so-called SEO specialists will tell you that they can get you in the top 5 for a keyword or search phrase and "Guess What?" they can! However, the words they talk you into using or allow your untrained mind to talk yourself into are key words that are usually far from being the best. In short: your key word gets 0- 30 hits a month while another one that someone else is using, gets 30,000 hits a month. But, if you make enough mistakes, spend enough money- then, you'll catch on or go broke! LOL

The truth is that I learnt more through my mistakes as most people do and by reading what the average businessman messed up on -by going to many of these free forums and networking sites. Still, the World Wide Web and technology wait for no one. In short: as quick as you learn something- the quicker it changes. And the way business is being done internationally is changing also. The marriage between social networks, Google, Yahoo and your monthly website stats are all intertwined much more than you may think.

============= Summing it all up!================ Promote and use whats freely available, but do it correctly by reading and following what other successful people do. If you don't have the time to do it yourself...then you can pick up some really good names of those who can...simply by asking many other members of the B2B business groups you've joined.

Join LinkedIn
Ning Network...for starters. Join many of the free groups out there and promote and learn. The bad ones(spammers, con-artists, crooks) have a way of getting weeded out of the mix.

What is your vision?

It goes without saying that -A business person must have a vision in order to have direction. However, having vision and direction without passion is a dead end.

I've seen far too many entrepreneurs and sales personnel climb on board a business train from the simple and immediate feeling of excitement( created by a great speaker/ sales person). Then, run out of steam before the train left the station. Why?

Let me share a short and powerful story about vision that caught my eye in a magazine that I was reading at a doctors office sometime back in the early 1980's.
I can't remember the name or person who wrote the article but it was certainly life changing for me. The story went something like this:

A man was selling pots and pans from door to door for years. However, he could never go above just breaking even on his sales commission for each month. After three years of selling these same pots and pans- he felt it was time to throw in the towel and move on. Feeling sad and depressed - he decided to stop at one more house before traveling all the way back to his home territory and call the boss about his decision to quit.

He rang the doorbell and entered the house to start his well rehearsed presentation on - why she should buy these beautiful new pots and pans. As he struggled weakly through his presentation he drop one of his pans next to the home owners stack of dirty bang up ones sitting under the kitchen basin. As he knelt down to pick up his pan...he suddenly look at the difference at the pots and pans he was selling to the old ones laying beneath the basin. Suddenly, a renewed spark of energy hit him as he rose to his feet. He started speaking to the home owner with such enthusiasm(one he had never known before this day) about his product and how it would help her in the kitchen. Needles to say, that day he sold the very best set of pot and pans from his companies product line and went on to be the top seller in the company for the next six years straight.

That day I had learned that your personal feelings about the product you sell are directly and deeply related to how well you present them to a potential buyer. Likewise, this same principle holds true to my company, employees and each days business. It holds true to most of life and family.

Find that same love and enthusiasm for what you do, sell, have, desire and hope for in your life every single day. This will drive your passion and energy. In return, your employees, clients, partners, friends, and family will feed off this energy. Define your world by your excitement for life and the things in it!

Tell me. What excites you about your business, your product and the direction your moving in? Share the excitement with others and make your enthusiasm contagious.
I'd love to hear what works for you.

Peace to all
Deli
